Kensington – A Moment

 

De Nederlandse band Kensington werd in 2005 opgericht in Utrecht. 

In Nederland sleepten ze jarenlang prijzen in de wacht en ook veel van hun albums werden goud of platina. 

In 2002 stopte zanger Eloi Youssef bij de band en begon de zoektocht naar een nieuwe zanger. 

Die is inmiddels gevonden in de Amerikaanse Jason Dowd en dat leverde ook meteen een nieuwe single op genaamd 'A Moment'

The Vices – How Does It Feel

 

In 2019 werd in Groningen de Nederlandse rockband The Vices opgericht. De 4-koppige band bracht in 2021 haar debuutalbum uit met als titel 'Looking For Faces'

Op 7 februari moet hun inmiddels 3 studioalbum 'Before It Might Be Gone' gaan verschijnen en op het album staat ook het nummer 'How Does It Feel' die als single is verschenen.

Hij begon al met liedjes schrijven op de gitaar toen hij 13 jaar oud was. 

De Canadese singer-songwriter Alex Crichton. De artiest uit Ottawa had een aardig succes met zijn kerstsingle 'Merry Christmas, I Miss You' en is nu terug met een nieuwe single en die heet 'Coffee' 

Meewakching – I Can't Trust

 

De Indiase band Meewakching komt uit Imphal. 

Ze hebben al de nodige nummers uitgebracht in hun eigen taal, waaronder ook een heel album in 2021. 

Naar verwachting moet nog dit jaar hun nieuwe studioalbum 'Bildungsroman' gaan uitkomen, waar ook het nummer 'I Can't Trust' op staat en die is nu als single verschenen.

The Lathums – Long Shadows

 

De 4-koppige band The Lathums werd in 2018 opgericht in Wigan, Greater Manchester. 

De band met Alex Moore als leadzanger, bracht debuutalbum 'How Beautiful Life Can Be' in 2021. 

Dat het daarna snel ging blijkt wel uit het feit dat op 7 maart a.s. hun inmiddels 3e studioalbum gaat verschijnen met als titel 'Matter Does Not Define'

Als voorloper van het nieuwe album is alvast het nummer 'Long Shadows' verschenen als single. 

Lighthearted – Borrowed

 

Het Amerikaanse duo Lighthearted bestaat uit Gracie Huffman en Eliza Lemmon.

Ze begonnen in 2019 en maken indie folk muziek. In 2023 verscheen hun debuutalbum genaamd 'From Here On Out'

Ze hebben inmiddels weer een nieuwe single en die heet 'Borrowed'

Ze heet eigenlijk Jess Holt, maar werkt onder haar artiestennaam Total Tommy.

De Australische singer-songwriter uit Sydney bracht afgelopen jaar haar debuutalbum uit met als titel 'Bruises', van het album komt nu het nummer 'Amsterdam' als single.

Circa Waves – Like You Did Before

 

De 4-koppige Engelse indie rock band Circa Waves komt uit Liverpool.

Begon in 2013 en debuutalbum 'Young Chasers' verscheen in 2015. 

Nu in 2025 zijn we in afwachting van het nieuwe en inmiddels 6e studioalbum dat op 31 januari gaat verschijnen en 'Death & Love Pt.1' gaat heten.

Op het album ook de single 'Like You Did Before'

De Australische singer-songwriter en rapper Mallrat heeft inmiddels bekend gemaakt dat haar nieuwe studioalbum op 14 februari a.s. moet gaan verschijnen. 

Haar 2e studioalbum gaat 'Light Hit My Face Like a Straight Right' heten. 

Van het album kwam al de single 'Hocus Pocus' en nu is het de beurt aan het nummer 'Horses'

Michael Kiwanuka – One And Only

 

De Engelse singer-songwriter Michael Kiwanuka bracht op 22 november afgelopen jaar zijn inmiddels 4e studioalbum uit. Het album met de titel 'Small Changes' bracht onder andere al de single 'Lowdown' voort, waar twee delen van zijn. 

Zijn nieuwe single genaamd 'One And Only' staat ook op het album.
